In 2025 alone, Cultural Forces gave 1,900 performances directly on the front line. Today, the program brings together almost 70 artists working in 8 mobile groups. Every day, they choose to travel wherever their presence is needed most.
These figures demonstrate that supporting servicemen’s morale and psychological well-being through culture is a fundamental part of the Cultural Forces mission.
Behind every statistic, however, is an individual human story: a soldier who has just lost a fellow service member, a frontline community living under shelling, or a young person growing up amid war. This is why the artists’ work demands exceptional sensitivity. Before every visit, the team carefully studies the situation at the positions, speaks with commanders, and selects the words and songs most likely to give people strength when they need it most.
For Cultural Forces, this work has long been about far more than performances or artistic gatherings. It provides direct, personal support and psychological recovery to those who hold Ukraine’s front line every day.
