A project that enables people and businesses to buy books and send them to service members
For those who are constantly in a combat zone, it can be difficult to take their minds off the war or find time to process their experiences. But doing so is essential.
When mobile internet is unavailable, a printed book offers a way to go somewhere else or find a sense of grounding, at least mentally.
Together with publishers and bookstores, we invite everyone to take part by buying books online or in person. After purchasing a book, you can write a message of support and gratitude to the service member who receives it.
Cultural Desant visits defenders every day on the front line, at training centres and rehabilitation centres, and delivers the books.
The right book at the right time can change a life.
1
In the list below, you’ll find bookstores that are part of the project. Some of them offer the option to order and send a book online (marked with 🌐).
2
Choose and purchase a book you’d like to share — ideally something small enough to fit in a pocket. If you’re buying it in-store, feel free to add a few warm words or a message of support.
3
Leave the book with the bookstore staff, and Nova Poshta will help Cultural Desant deliver it — free of charge — to Ukrainian defenders.

Bookstores marked with 🌐 accept online orders — you can buy and send a book without leaving home.
