As a result of decommunization and derussification, more than a thousand Soviet and Russian monuments were dismantled in Ukraine, leaving their empty pedestals as “urban scars.” “DE MONUMENT” does not replace one concrete block with another; instead, it uses contemporary art and tactical urbanism to transform these sites into living spaces for public dialogue.
