A modular architectural space offering a single, durable standard for honoring fallen soldiers instead of temporary structures.
The project aims to address the problem of the short lifespan of local memorials dedicated to fallen military personnel. At its core is a pergola-like structure filled with glass blocks featuring engraved portraits. The stained glass incorporated into the portraits evokes associations with a church and emphasizes the reverence for fallen heroes. The structure consists of five basic modules that can be adapted to any location. In addition to the physical solution, we propose changing the approach to commemoration: instead of cut flowers, the project provides a space for growing living ones.
